In-blog photos have been migrated to the new server. Over time, I’ll be fixing broken links in the old Japan blog, but they’re not a priority. Next up is a design scheme for the site and moving the massive photo galleries - hopefully within a week or ten days. I’m currently aiming to have something completely different and unexpected at this main site around the middle of November.
Please note the new subsciption function, so you can sign up for stalking. And if you’ve followed this blog since its inauspicious origins in 2002, you can see that I’ve switched everything over to WordPress. There’s a reason for this: it’s better than Movable Type. Duh.

A big part of the behind-the-scenes, boring-as-all-heck moving and rebuilding of the old biginjapan.org has been completed. Both blogs have been successfully migrated: the original Japan blog, Big in Japan and the newer travel blog, On Tour, should be functioning normally. There is no need to update your links, since I’m keeping the biginjapan.org URL.
Next up will be to move the photos (which currently link back to japanphotographer.com,) the mailing lists and a few other odds and ends that probably include a kitchen sink or something.
And for those who care, I’ve also been hired as an editor for some little Internet start up called CNET.
